The Analysis module, part of the Enterprise Edition, is a powerful facility to run pre-defined or ad-hoc multi-dimensional pivot-like queries on stored parsed trace data without the need to write anything by hand. It is fully GUI-driven, supporting common OLAP principles like dimensions, hierarchies, aggregates, drill-down etc. As for the Reports module, we are using a third-party product for the Analysis module. This section discusses the most important concepts and a simple workable example.

 

To open the Analysis module, simply click the Analysis menu item in section 5 of the Main Screen.
