In order to debug stored routines, you need to register a database in Hopper. You can do this by using the Register Database button or via the menu, File | Register Database. This will open up the Register Database Wizard.
Depending on the edition of Hopper that you're using, this will display a window with different options.
Important note! Registration details, including the database password, are stored in plain text in a file in your Windows profile. You can use the Always prompt for password checkbox to avoid storing the password.
Registering a Firebird or InterBase DatabaseWhen you register a Firebird or InterBase database, you get a window similar to the one below.

Use Test Connection to check to see if the details are correct, if so, the Finish button becomes enabled and you can use the database with Hopper.

Modifying registration propertiesIf you select a database from the treeview, you can modify its registration properties by using the context menu or the Database Registration Properties button from the toolbar. This will display the registration properties, just as when registering a database. |
