The File Compare Tool allows you to compare two text files side by side and highlight the differences.
First, you need to load two files, you can do this by using the Open File buttons. Alternatively, you can paste text using the buttons in the toolbar, or drag files from the Windows Explorer into the left or right side of the tool.
Next, you click the Perform File Compare button on the toolbar to compare the text in the left and right panels.

The status bar of the window shows the filenames shortened in the same manner as the File and Folder Boxes.
