While the first tab on the Materialized View Editor allows you to enter or create the SQL statement that creates the result for the view, the Options tab is equally important.

The Options tab holds many options.
Oracle Materialized View Options
Many options depend on other options. For example, the Refresh Mode dictates whether the boxes in the Refresh Options section are enabled or not. If you enable the Next item, you can enter an expression that evaluates to a date and time value. You can use the button to the right of the control to select one of the pre-defined intervals.

As the result set is physically stored, you also have to specify Oracle Storage Options.
