Using the context menu - Administration & Maintenance | Database Properties or the tree node in the Database Navigator will open the Database Properties dialog.

The dialogs holds two tabs, General and Description. The latter one holds a user-written description of the database.
The first tab shows information about the database, including some properties that you can change.
If you use the OK button, these properties will be changed. Check the InterBase documentation for the exact meaning of the properties.
