A model can have different options depending on several things: is it a CDM or a PDM? What DBMS-type is the model linked to?

By default, a PDM will always have the most recent version of a DBMS. Other options are specific for a particular DBMS.
If you change the target database version, the model will be automatically validated in order to check if any data types have become unsupported.
Note: You cannot change the target database version for models that are in a "connected" state.
