Hopper for MySQL, beta 1 released

Upscene Productions is proud to announce the first public beta of our new product:

"Hopper", a Stored Code Debugger for MySQL.

"After consulting with MySQL users and explaining the idea for Hopper,", says Martijn Tonies, founder of Upscene Productions. "it was clear to us that people would like to have a debugging tool for stored routines. This wasn't long ago and after releasing a Firebird and InterBase version of Hopper, we're now here to release a MySQL Edition. Eventually, debugging stored routines will be part of Database Workbenchas well."

The beta is available now for MySQL, first "final versions" for InterBase and Firebird have been released earlier this month.

Do note this is a BETA version, please try as much code as you can and let us know the results!

Version 4.1 includes heavily improved SQL Insight, it now works fully for additional SQL statements: INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, MERGE and has re-written parsers and context sensitive pop-up lists and works in the View Editor.

SQL Insight also includes support for Microsoft SQL Server "table functions", InterBase & Firebird system tables and Oracle "parameter insight" for Type Constructors.

Other improvements for database developers or usuability enhancements include "one click data export" for SQL result sets, improved "paste special" to recognize string lists from Delphi's "evaluate/modify"-dialog, InterBase "Database Encryption Wizard" for InterBase 2009 and up and much more.

Version 1.4.1 of our Firebird dbExpress driver, InterXpress for Firebird, fixes two bugs. One is related to possible access violations when using TSQLTimeStamp parameters, the other to BDS 2006 and its support for dbExpress specification version 2 drivers.

ADS LogManager 2.0 released

We are pleased to announce ADS LogManager 2, a new major release of our popular logging/auditing suite for Advantage Database Server. ADS LogManager 2 is a specialized version for Version 8 of Advantage Database Server taking advantage of SQL scripting and new system stored procedures for disabling/enabling triggers and getting the application name. Version 2 will not work with Advantage Database Server 7!
