Advanced Data Generator v1.2.0 released!

There's a new release of the "Advanced Data Generator" available - this version includes a single bugfix for the "Pro" version.

Changes for v1.2.0

New:
  • Ability to import and export presets
  • Spanish city and street names
  • Spanish male and female first names and Spanish last names
Enhancements:
  • improved error reporting when loading projects with missing presets
  • added ability to truncate random Float values
  • added ability take a random value from all streetnames
Fixes:
  • fixed type problems for database engines that don't return parameter datatypes (like Gupta, PostreSQL etc...)
  • ADG had problems saving presets (and others) with accented characters in names
  • fixed a problem if you were using {F:...} for Masked Values as the only command
  • setting a boolean/bit column to "random" would display it as set to "value from other column"
  • (MySQL) Version 4.1 authentication supported
  • (MySQL) Version 4.1 metadata fetching modified because of MySQL changes
  • (Firebird) Did not double-quote case sensitive column/table names

There are four versions available of this tool:
  • Pro Edition
    Supports ADO and ODBC connectivity, a very generic but powerful tool

  • InterBase Edition
    Supports InterBase, better datatype recognition and faster than via ODBC/ADO

  • Firebird Edition
    Supports Firebird, better datatype recognition and faster than via ODBC/ADO

  • MySQL Edition
    Supports MySQL via direct connectivity, better datatype recognition and no MySQLLib required
