Advanced Data Generator v1.1.0 released!

There's a new release of the "Advanced Data Generator" available - this version includes bugfixes and new functionality inspired by customer reports.

Changes for v1.1.0

New:
  • Ability to copy a (generated) value from another column in the same table
  • "Masked Values" can now include values from custom text files
  • "Masked Values" can now include sequential values with optional leading zeroes
  • "Masked Values" can now include random numbers
  • Ability to create 1-1 relationships in addition to 1-n
  • Ability to select values from lists/values random/sequential/unique
  • Ability to use a VIEW as the source for referential links
Enhancements:
  • Used SQL statement logged (useful for error tracking)
  • Changed "referential data" retrieval to allow multi-column FKs with "sequential" values selection
  • Several small GUI enhancements
Fixes:
  • (Pro) delimited identifier problem with MS Access
  • Problem with UK street names
  • Windows XP and Outlook-bar non-display of images
  • Several minor GUI issues

    Supports ADO and ODBC connectivity, a very generic but powerful tool

  • InterBase Edition
    Supports InterBase, better datatype recognition and faster than via ODBC/ADO

  • Firebird Edition
    Supports Firebird, better datatype recognition and faster than via ODBC/ADO

  • MySQL Edition
    Supports MySQL via direct connectivity, better datatype recognition and no MySQLLib required
